Question / Help Black and Flickering

If I'm recording as game capture in any game it only records blackness, I can tell it's doing this due to when I see it start to record the preview window only shows black. I'm recording to file so there's no streaming for this. Another thing to note I can record footage if i either change it to monitor capture or window capture, but then my second problem comes when I am recording footage and I go to play it back, it's choppy and flickers sometimes and it's noticeable. It feels like its at a slower FPS then it's been recorded. The game capture only works if, I start recording in-game, then minimize it, then bring it back up again only does it actually capture it. Other then that everything else is working great.

Also what are the best settings to use for recording??

It basically wont record in full screen mode but if my games are in window mode it sees it just fine.

The flickering is because you're using monitor / window capture for a full screen game. Only game capture works on fullscreen games.
 
According to the log you posted, the game you selected in game capture was never running. Try deleting and re-adding the game capture while you have the game open.
