Question / Help BIOS won't allow both iGPU and GTX 760

My MSI Z87-G41 PC Mate BIOS has a graphics adapter setting that allows either my discrete GTX 760 OR my internal gpu (which is the HD 4600, i5-4670k) NOT both so since I am using my GTX 760 as my graphics adapter, the quick sync option is greyed out. I just saw whats his name mention OBS and quick sync support in a recent PAX East video as if there's some way to get both the discrete graphics adapter and the igpu to be enabled at the same time so I could use the igpu for encoding and my GTX 760 for gaming which would take the work of encoding off my i5 CPU.

Any suggestions or is it just because my motherboard doesn't allow for both graphics adapters to be active at the same time?

to get this to work you need to have the intel gpu drivers installed, also check that your intel gpu is listed in device manager to ensure its enabled and active.
If your motherboard has an AUTO option for the igpu do not use it, manually select enabled instead. my motherboard seems to disable it if left on auto and just used the pcie gpu.

I saw this feature on the linus tech tips PAX vid... Excellent feature as i can now use obs without affecting my game with obs now using less than 2% cpu !!!!

I quickly downloaded your Mainboards manual:
IGD Multi-Monitor [Disabled]
Enables or disables the multi-screen output from integrated graphics and external
graphics card. To support the Lucid Virtu MVP Technology, please enable this
item.
[Enabled] Enables IGD multi-screen function.
[Disabled] Disables IGD multi-screen function.

Enable this option, make sure the drivers are installed for the igpu, as the others mentioned. And with the virtual display workaround, Sapiens linked, you should be good to go.
