Question / Help Beyond frustrated with local recordings

I've been following guide after guide and reading pages and pages of support threads now to get decent recordings. I'm trying to start a YouTube channel and I'm having issue after issue.

So I'm not new to OBS, but not nearly an expert either. I've gotten my Twitch stream working fine with minimal issues. However, I just can't seem to get local recordings to work.

The issues I've had are:

-Managed to get everything working like I wanted when recording to FLV, no problems seemed to happen, however, once I tried to remux to MP4, nothing would happen. Even tried to convert in VLC to no avail.

-Decided to switch to MP4 recording to make it easier on my self. Ended up getting artifacts and tons of low quality issues.

-Managed to fix all of that with changes to encoding settings, however, now I'm having trouble with my audio randomly going off sync in the middle of a recording. It will be fine for awhile, and then it will cutout and be off sync for the remainder of the recording.

Just super frustrated that I can't get things working, hoping someone might be able to help me out.

You told us that you have problems, but you didn't tell anything about the settings and configuration you used. So we cannot help. The easiest thing to tell what settings you use is to post a obs logfile that contains a 5-minute recording attempt.
