Better performance ideas?

Some background is i have a 3080 and a 5800x3d Wi-Fi is not an issue. While I'm in game gpu is at 80% usage and CPU is at 24% usage and only 2% is used by obs. I play and record at 1440p but only stream at 1080p.Ive been noticing in recent streams and in the recordings is that the output has been very choppy when playing fps games but not in other games. Are there setting that can fix this or make it better? Is there some way to offload some of the strain to the CPU because almost everything is using the gpu or will that not solve anything? Any ideas of settings to change are helpful

Be aware that with NVENC, Multipass, Look-ahead and Adaptive Quantization all use additional GPU. You can disable those and increase your bitrate to get the same results.
AFAIK x264, AOM AV1, SVT-AV1 and most of the FFmpeg codecs all use CPU instead of GPU.

Cap your games at your output FPS so there's no frame rate conversion.

Sweet thanks man I appreciate the advice. I always cap my framerate in games but I'll try switching encoders and see if that improves it
