Question / Help Better audio quality?

Hey there,

This isn't high priority or anything, just something that's been bugging me and google isn't cutting it. Whenever I listen to a recorded stream my audio quality seems kinda flat. Is there a setting I'm missing to get full capture quality audio? I have it set at 44.1hz and tried with 48 but didn't notice a difference. At a loss. Ideas?

This depends how sensitive you are, as it's subjective, but anyway.

First, are you using AAC?
If not, then do, it's better than MP3, even though the built in Encoder seems to be FAAC which sadly is the worst AAC encoder, but it's the only free one (Free-AAC).

Bitrate, i would set to 320kbps, and even that is not enough for me in some cases, as the variable bitrate system seem to have a hard time producing sufficient results in certain conditions, but i am probably quite alone there.

If none of these is enough for you, then i could give you a build where i have increased the quality a bit, forcing it to produce a higher bitrate then usually, but it's a last resort, as this is not supported officially by OBS and just a "hack" i have done myself.
