Hi all!

I recently just got a Panasonic HC-WXF991K camcorder and was hoping to be able to hook it up to OBS to use for streaming and such. Wasn't exactly sure what would be the best way to go about hooking it up to a computer to then add into OBS. My original thought was using some sort of capture card like an Elgato to run the HDMI video feed out from the camera into the capture card, and then into the computer through USB 3.0. If anyone has any tips or suggestions on what would be the best way to accomplish all of this or if it's even possible, please let me know as soon as possible!

Thanks in advance!

Elgatos are nothing but driver problems and pain.

We generally recommend blackmagic decklink or intensity, startech usb 3.0 or pci-e, or recent high end avermedia.

That's a 4k camera. While I haven't gotten confirmation that the device outputs 4k over HDMI, if it does and you're wanting to get 4k off the device, then you should get a BlackMagic Intensity Pro 4k or the Mini Recorder 4k. (I recommend you spend the extra $50 and get the Intensity Pro 4k).
