Hi guys,

I am looking for some OBS/settings help, because when i stream viewers complains about lags/spinners. I am currently running the following system:

i5-4690 3.5GHz (@4.7GHz)
16GB DDR3-2133
GeForce GTX 970 STRIX
Samsung EVO 850 SSD
Z97-A ATX

My router is a Netgear R7000, and I am on a 30/30mbit connection.

I have tried a bunch of different settings, after reading the topic about dropped frames but nothing seems to help. Right now I am running with the following setup:

Encoding: x264
fps: 30
width: 1280, height: 720
preset: veryfast
profile: main
keyint: 60
CBR: yes
CFR: yes
max bitrate: 2500
buffer size: 2500

I have a two logs:
log #1 and log #2

Further information:
- I have called my ISP to ask if they are doing any kind of throttle, but they didn't. My line should be fine.
- I have done this twitch analyzer which says everything looks good, even though viewers still complains
- Stream can sometimes run fine for up to 10min, and then go into a buffer-/loading-hell.
- I am running 64bit version of OBS, but have tried 32bit as well.

Help guys, it is driving me crazy!

fun part is the usually suggested settings for a non-partner is 1280x720 with 30fps and between 2000-2500 bitrate audio bitrate already calculated in.

depending on what game you try to stream you got some space to play around e.g.: csgo can be streamed with 540p60 and ~1500bitrate and it will still look good.

using a slower preset to gain quality isnt really worth it especially since you are on an i5, also the quality gain would be within a margin anyway.

another thing you could try is streaming directly to the sfo ingest server (not really suggested)
