Question / Help Best settings for water polo?

We are trying to stream water polo games to YouTube but the outcome is dramatic...
I assume this is caused by the reflection of the light in the water and the compression algorithm used by Youtube, but I am not sure. See example: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NWhtEMH2xcs.

The input video signal is of a realtive high quality: 1080p50 and looks great while previewing.
We are running OBS on a Intel Core i7 machine with an GeForce GTX 750 and have 20Mbps upload available.

Tried several settings but cannot seem to get an acceptable stream. Tried so far:
Youtube
- 1080p ingest with serveral framerates (30/50/60 fps) and bandwidth combinations (between 3.5-10Mbps)

OBS
- Encoding using NVENC at 3.5, 8 and 10Mbps
- CBR
- Framerates 30/50/60 fps

Does some have experience with streaming of water/pool conditions or any other advice?
Thanks in advance!

All that motion in the picture is going to require a high bitrate to look good. If you have a good i7 you should use x264 instead of NVENC, maybe you can select a slower preset for even better quaity. Keeping the FPS and resolution "low" will also help.

EDIT: For general streaming that is, could be YT fucking it up when transcoding.

Thanks a lot! Using x264 instead of NVENC, turning up the bitrate and lowering the framerate helped a lot.

It took some experimenting in finding the right mix that could be handled by the PC but now we have a more than acceptable stream!
