Than either your CPU just can't handle even Ultrafast preset. Or your Harddrive is to slow to keep up with the bitrate. CRF=1 is the badest Idea btw. You Should go between 18(Best Quality huge File) and 23(Normal Quality decent file) or disable it entierely and just set Quality Balance 10

Nvenc is a build in encoder in "newer" Nvidia GPU's, it barely hit the Performance of your PC and got almost the same Quality as as x264, but you can't yet disable the bitrate limit. I can set the max bitrate to 240000 anything above I try failed to launch the encoder. The filesize is a little bigger as x264 and you can only affect the "Quality" by the preset and not with something like CRF= x You can try it if the Video quality satisfy you.

oh yeah forgot to day i had to use handbrake to lower the file size. the quality problem may be within obs or handbrake.

What Quality Problem? You know everything you upload to YouTube is not nearly as good as the source material, compressed or not as long as it don't has lower bitrate (FHD YT recommended Average Bitrate is 8000kb/s Youtube itself reduce any bitrate to about 5000-6000kb/s)

dont use crf=1

if you want 1080p footage with 60 fps use ultrafast preset crf=22 and bitrate whatever you desire i would suggest starting at around 20000-25000

cbr 0 UNCHECKED
cfr=checked

you could also use 720p60 depending if you really want 60fps or not

thank you. finally a good answer. it works now i think. there is no noticeable framedrops during gameplay and the quality is ok i guess. this will do for now :)
