Question / Help Best settings for 480p30? Here are my specs.

Well. I've decided to go on and join this world of streaming, but as for anyone else starting, there are some obstacles standing right in my way. I've tested going with 720p30, which was complete trash due to my upload speed, and the fact that I couldn't have more than 800 bitrate. My current upload speed stands somewhere at 0.7 to 0.8. And with 720p30 800 bitrate I had around 45% droprate of frames, which is horrible. So I leaped down to 480p30, hoping this problem will fix. I just want to know the best settings I should have (Including bitrate and CPU preset) for my specs:

Upload Speed: 700 - 800 kB/s.
Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-4510U CPU @ 2.00GHz 2.60GHz.
System Type: Windows 10 Enterprise 64-bit.
Memory: 6 GB.
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce 840M.

I also had another question. Does actually taking a slower CPU preset interact with frames droprate and bitrate?

Thanks in advance!

Here is what Twitch recommends (if you are going to stream on twitch): Link

If you only have around 800kbps upload I would recommend using 600-650kbps for streaming (not more than 80% of your available upload speed).

Slower CPU presets will improve your stream quality but also set you CPU under tremendous stress. I don't know what you are going to stream, but your CPU is unfortunately not that powerful. So go with the default "veryfast" preset in the beginning. If you feel like your CPU can handle it you can try using slower presets.
So to answer your question: slower CPU presets won't affect bitrate but framerate. When you use a preset which your CPU can't handle you will drop a lot of frames. The more high motion the game is (like First Person Shooter) the more power is needed.

Right. I gave myself two hours of testing here and there, adding more efficient DNS's, playing around with settings and adding custom testing code. After testing, I could handle 'Medium' preset with no problems on 650 kbps (Tried 750 kbps but there was a low percent of dropped frames and instability). Thanks!

I would recommend getting better internet, in my opinion it is a waste of time to stream when you can only do so at 600-650 kbps.

Can't agree more with this. It's not funds problem or any of that. But Egypt has very, very bad upload speed. Atleast the download speed is decent (not compared to other nations).
