Best quality 'screen captures / video captures' (recommendations)

Hello,

I have a capture card (4K, 1080p, 60fps, HDMI to USB.3.0) capture card. I am using OBS.

Could someone suggest the best settings screen recording or video recording?

There are a lot of options / buttons / switches in OBS and I would appreciate some help (or a link to suggestions)

For example, I did screen captures yesterday, i connected the card, but I have this . . . (attachment). How do I get it to display, full screen?

Those video captures I took yesterday didn't have any sound.

Thank you

I think I figured it out . . . .

The videos and screen captures go to C:\Users\M1000\Videos

I have OBS connected from my t.v. to my laptop. OBS is running in the background.

When there is something on t.v. that I want to capture, I click on the OBS icon on the taskbar to bring it to the front of the screen.

After a recording, it is open but I may have another program maximized on my computer screen. Google Chrome, MS Word, ACDSee, or Photoshop. Whatever

Let's say I have ' I Love Lucy' on the t.v. Twenty minutes later, I go to the 'Videos' folder and I have 100 captures of 'I Love Lucy'.

How did that happen?

On my keyboard, I have CTRL assigned to 'screen capture'. What I believe happened was that every time I pressed CTRL, a screen capture was taken and saved to the Videos folder.

When I realized that this is probably what was happening, I used this key instead (or another rarely used key)

I had been either using 'CTRL' (on the left hand side of the keyboard), and 'Enter' (on the right hand side of the keyboard)

Problem solved (I hope).

These are most likely not coming from OBS, as OBS prefixes screenshot filenames with Screenshot_.
