Question / Help Best practice suggestions - dual audio input

Hello all,

Been using OBS for over a year now with a very simple setup. Right now we use a Logitech C920 webcam, using the built-in microphone to speak into during our live streaming broadcasts, and we also let this mic pick up background music playing over a standard set of computer speakers.

This setup works, but certainly isn't high quality on the audio -- so I think we're ready to step things up and move onto bigger and better audio setup.

So I'm looking for the best suggestion to allow for the following:

1. Have the ability to feed internal computer audio (music primarily played through Spotify or YouTube) into an audio channel in OBS, preferably with the ability to control input level so that the music audio doesn't overpower our second audio input channel (microphone).

2. Thinking of going with a Bluetooth headset microphone connected to the PC - I'm assuming most Bluetooth headset mic's which are made for cell phones would work well for this setup (assuming the PC has a Bluetooth adapter internally, which it does) . I currently have a Plantronics M100 - I could use that as a test mic.

I do realize a Bluetooth headset isn't going to give me the best microphone performance here, but I'm just looking for wireless and small form factor. Certainly open to suggestion on other similar types of microphone devices that would accomplish this.

I've already done some research on how to make my Computer's internal audio act as its own audio input stream, and this research has pointed me to programs like Virtual Audio Cable, and similar. Would you absolutely have to use a 3rd party piece of software to accomplish what I'm trying to do here, or is there any way to do this natively in OBS?

Any help on this would be appreciated, including any links to existing tutorials that might exist on how to set this up.

Many thanks in advance!

OBS MP already has multiple audio inputs. It is not finished, but it works and you might give it a try.
Another solution are DAW (digital audio workstations), they are designed for that work and can replace Virtual Audio Cable, but they are complicated, need more RAM etc and thats not an easy way out.
The best way is still an analog mixer and a good mic (lav. mics are what you are searching for - but expensive. you can clip them on your shirt and have a wireless transmitter on your belt, you saw that on TV more than once i think).
