Ive been tryna record minecraft with it but its too choppy, heres what my laptop has;

Intel(R) Core(TM) i3 CPU M330 2.13Ghz
4GB Ram with 3,36 usable
64bit

What settings should I use?

I suggest that you run the auto-configuration wizard in the tools menu if you haven't already.

Running the OBS process with high priority might help.

You're not going to get great results though.

Also, it might help to post the log along with your question -- there is a lot of info in there that people can use.

Be sure to read all the pinned posts at the top of the Windows Support page -- there might be ideas in there you could ue

You can try using x264 Ultrafast with CQP/CRF, but an i3 is a bottom-barrel email/facebook machine. Especially a mobile SKU.
A 10 year old one is not going to have any chance of smooth recording above something like 320x240.

You need a new computer; real-time video encoding is a very computationally-demanding task. You're asking a mouse to pull a boulder the size of a house.
