If you put the capture card into the same PC where you are playing and where you are running OBS, you will gain nothing. The system load will stay the same, because reading the video data through the capture card interface is as heavy (if not heavier) as reading the video data through shared memory with game capture. And the load for compositing and producing the video will stay the same.
