Hey folks!
Recently i've updated my pc, and i'm looking into streaming.
Thing is, my GPU is still an old GTX 1050 2GB (normal, no TI)
I'm running an i9-9900k oc with 18 GB RAM at XMP 3000 speeed.
Running this on a 480 GB Crucial SSD for programs and an 1TB HDD for storage.
I've been wanting to start streaming, and i've had good sucess with 2D simplier games, like Rimworld, Noita and low impact on the GPU.
Normally using the NVIDIA Codec for encoding.
But, i've read, and this may just be fake info, that the Nvidia enconding, consumes a good part of the GPU for the encoding process.
Well, recently with some of the latest updates from the Nvidia drivers, and finally understanding the Nvidia Panel and customizing options, i've managed boost up a lot of some games that, before struggled to keep at 40 and now, are going around 80fps, if left uncapped (which i don't, i cap at 60 normally)
But even so, normally this gets the GPU use to max, because it only have 2GB of VRAM.
With that, i just wanted to know, if on OBS, or any extra pluging or option, there would be a way to stream without having a big impact on the GPU.
On my internet side, i've got a stable 240 DL 20~24 Up. So on that part i'm okey, i guess.
Lastly, updating my GPU right now is impossible, i'm from the hell place, Brazil, and the ridiculus level of inflation and taxes, literally makes a product that on the US be around lets say 1000USD, get to brazilian stores on a similar price to 2500USD.
It's abusive, it's ridiculos, and it gets just worse with how our economy is f*cked up right now.
So, without updagint the GPU, there are any tricks on lowering the weight of OBS Streaming on the GPU? So i can still manage to stream and play stuff at a normal\acceptable framerate?
Tried streaming Fallout76 and everything crashed. Not streaming i can play normally on low quality for exemple, a solid 60 fps. But adding OBS with NVidia encoding,it seemed to overload the GPU =\
I've heard, but this can again, be rumors and false info, that the x264 is less GPU intensive and more CPU intensive. Considering thatright now i have an pretty potent CPU compared to the GPU,would there be any way to give it priority and let the GPU work for the games?
Sorry if any grammar problems or, certain incoherences. English isn't my native, as you can see XD
And, sorry if there is an answear buried on the forums, i'm bad at searching and, would prefer to give my own Specs.
