Question / Help Best Capture Cards for Macs

Has anyone ever tried using an AJA device, like the Io XT, with OBS? I'm considering getting one for work and wonder if it could double-duty for some OBS-based projects.

I use the U-TAP HDMI from AJA with OBS. It works fine.

Mine is the USB 3.0 version. Then again, I capture on Macs, but I don't capture HDMI from Macs, so perhaps the USB version has the same problem?

ElGato discontinued support for GameCapHD and their capture card for Mac Users.

I'm looking for something new too, as I had the El Gato and it's no longer supported and doesn't work any more anyway.

I've had good luck with Blackmagic Thunderbolt Mini and with a generic USB 3 card I bought on AliExpress for $70. Both have worked well on mac and the USB card works great on windows 2. I don't capture anything more difficult than 1080p/30 with either. I've always had pretty good luck with Magewell as well.
