Beginner's Question

I watched the youtube tutorials how to set it up to record amy desktop screen.
1. My only concern is, when i click record, am I supposed to minimize the OBS and the Vcam, because I see it duplicating the entire time. Or I would always have to show that part in the beginning of the recording, then minimize it?
I know it is a stupid question but I just want to know the best way to record the screen without showing the OBS screen being recorded too in the beginning.

2. Also, is the Audio supposed to come out of the Vcam automatically or I need to add an audio input source?

3. Will 30fps matter if its just recording a screen, or should I opt for 60fps default? I just want a clear screen recording, not necesarily for gaming purposes but just for presentations.

Thank you

1. You can set up hotkeys to start and stop recording. This way you can minimize OBS, start your recording, and none of the infinity-effect will show at the start.

2. You need to set an audio source for it to be included.

3. 30fps is fine and will provide better clarity for the same bitrate since you're not having to encode as many frames.
