Question / Help Beeping/Clicking Noise When Streaming

Hi guys,

When I am streaming viewers have mentioned that there is a constant beeping noise when I stream, I've played around with settings (although no idea what to do) and tried different mics but I am getting the same thing. I can't hear the noise, but when I check out my saved stream (as I record them) I can hear a constant clicking sound.

Has anyone else experienced this and know how to fix it?

Thanks for any advice!

Ruth.

It's probably not the first time it's happened to someone, though why it might happen to someone I don't quite know yet. You should probably include a log file just as a precaution so I can take note of your computer specs.

ZombieGirl... it's quite simple really.

Microphones/Line-In/Headsets are all sensitive to electro noises within your machine.
I own an overly sensitive Blue Yeti mic and for months have had this "mee mee meee mee mee meeeee" sound on my recordings.

It turned out to be a few things adding to the trouble:

1. Wireless Mouse
2. Hard disks spinning up/down
3. Mic picking these up through the USB.

How i fixed it:

1. Turned the mic volume down, it hides the noise
2. Used OBS Mic Gain Multiplier x2
3. Disabled power saving options on my motherboard (C1 states)
4. Got some "Ferrite Chokes" - these are little clip on things that help absorb the interference
5. Bought a wired mouse.
6. used my USB3 port instead for my mic

The Helping Squad
A big help can also be disconnecting the front ports of the case from the mainboard, unless you really need them.
