Same problem here!

i7 4820K
2x GTX 980Ti
32GB DDR3 RAM

I use the NVENC H.264 Codec. If i disable DX12 it works fine for me!

Ive just finished recording about 4 hrs game play in BF1. My first time recording this game and i was testing various things. I captured bf4 previously.

What ive learned:
1)For 99% of my clan and from anecdotal evidence on symthic and reddit forums, DX12 gives you lower in game fps than DX11. Just use DX11.
2) BF1 is significantly more CPU hungry than BF4 was. this resulted in rendering lag around 10% for me (on a i7 4790k)
3) im recording using nvenc codec at 1440p 60fps and with the setup in obs and an important trick i figured earlier this afternoon, im getting no encoding or rendering lag according to OBS log.

Happy days.

So advice to you both is forget dx12.

You're kinda missing the point. Sure. Maybe DX12, on your end at least, gives less FPS compared to DX11, but the main problem is that there are a ton of Directx 12 games out there that people would like to use Game Capture on and they cannot. This is one example of it not working. I have yet to test it on Rise of the Tomb Raider to see if it shows the same results.

The problem isn't that DX12 shows lower fps, use DX11. The problem is that there's issues capturing DX12 and it needs to be addressed. Switching to DX11 is a workaround and not a permanent fix.

Yeah. I understand. I do the same with my own cast. DX12 game capture not working isn't a big loss for me, but it needs looked at. Have fun Damage :-)
