Hello,

I have been video capturing the tv, through OBS. I wanted to access HDMI3 via the remote's input button.

I have googled and I don't know if I get the right answer. I've gone to the back of TV and switched the HDMI cables into the other port

Is this the proper way? . . .

2. What does this mean ?. . .

No you can't go HDMI to HDMI....but you can go

>> HDMI on source computer to
>> Capture device to
>> USB on OBS computer.

Right now ,OBS is connected to my TV. I can go to the apps on the TV which include Netflix ,Youtube, Prime (below).

I press INPUT on my TV remote to go to HDMI 3 (below)

(It's set at 2, not 3, in the photo)

When I switch over , I have access to Disney, Fawesome, Tubi, Hayu, Pluto, Paramount, Plex. (photo above)

I would like to be able to video capture shows and movies from those apps (I realize I can go on the computer and see some of the apps there)

I would like the option of . . .

Computer > OBS > capture card > INPUT > tv

Thank you

Most TV shows can be found on DVD form, or just watch them online whenever you want. What you can't do, and here can't help you with, is circumvent copyright. You're on your own.
It's a legal issue.

These apps implement copy protection which prevents them from working through capture devices, and circumvention of copy protection is not an appropriate topic for this forum.

Thanks for understanding, I will lock this thread to keep it from getting out of control.
