So say my computer monitor has a resolution of 1280x1024 (5:4 aspect ratio) and I want to make it fit into the black box without squashing the video/warping it, how do make the video fit with right proportions without black bars.
I wan't to scaled the resolution to 1280x720 so I can upload it to youtube in 720p, so if anyone knows basically what I'm doing wrong as it is squashed currently.
Current settings:
(Video Tab in settings)
Base resolution = 1280x1024 (monitor screen resolution)
Scaled resolution = 1280x720 (720p resolution for youtube)
Currently I have to stretch it to fit the box:

which makes it fits the box with a slight horizontal squash, however when uploaded it has black bars even though it scaled fine i think.
Any help would be appreciated and I can add more information if needed.
Regards a1l.
P.S i have watched numerous youtube videos to no avail as I guess this is a specific issue to the computer
