Alright, so as the title implies, I have pretty bad upload and was wondering if someone could help me setup my OBS to stream league of legends.I understand the bad upload is a big limit, but I just wanted some advice on how to tweak some of the advanced settings and x264 and all that to maximize the performance as much as possible. Alright so here's what I'm working with:

Processor : AMD A8 3870k @ 3.0 Ghz Quad Core

Video Card : HIS 6850 IceQ X Turbo 1GB GDDR5 (Factory OC'd)

RAM : 8 GB

Just to point out, I've messed around with the presets and I think I can use up to the medium without suffering any loss in performance in-game. What I'm mostly worried about are the lag spikes that I get when my stream uses too much upload. I currently use the max bitrate @ 500 and max buffer size @ 382 to avoid any potential lag spike, I also have the minimize network impact option enabled. I'm not 100% sure if these settings are optimal or not, but I guess that's why I'm here. :D
I'm pretty realistic on the resolution I want to stream at comfortably with this upload, obviously I should aim at somewhere like 480p, but I was hoping to maybe be able to bump it to 514p or 600p if possible. Oh my monitor native resolution is 1440x900, if you need any more information in order to make a complete suggestion, please tell me, and thanks for any help it's very much appreciated.

unfortunately LoL cant have decent quality on 480p, i'm just sorry, but my eyes hurt when i have to watch 480p stream of a LoL match. unreadable text and pretty much all info u wanna see in the game isnt there, its just blur.

LoL requires u to have "at least" 1.5mbit free upload rate for the stream + 500 more for the game itself which effectively gives u a 2mbit/s upload that u need to have to get a pretty decent and watchable LoL stream.

If u want to get a good stream, u need to really work your ISP for a better upload. There is pretty much nothing u can do with that upload to have a good looking stream.

U get lag spikes because u're setting your bitrate to a value that your connection cannot handle, u're pushing more data through your line than its possible. Like i said, LoL is a connection hog compared to other similar games, so u need to give it like 500kbits of room for the game alone.

If u can work out better upload speeds from your ISP, we can work something up

You see, the core if the issue is the game you're playing -- League of Legends. It is quite bandwidth hungry and is essentially already taking up most, if not at all if that 0.75 Mbps. Leaving nothing to work with for streaming. So, no, you can't stream LoL. It's just not happening without at least, say, 2 - 2.5 Mbps in the case of League of Legends.

dont want to be rude, but thats actually a budget pc build.

as kharay said you want to have at least around 2 mbit upload to be able to stream and play without having any latency problems in almost all cases

Heya there.

I myself have a 1,1mb upload, which is pathetic, but I have started to receive positive feedback from the people that have watched my LoL stream. If you're still active with this topic, go ahead and poke me and I'll check out the settings I have for myself. :) Could at least try, right?
