Hi,

So basically I have read through lots of guides and settings for local recording setups for high quality but still I get a pretty bad quality and thought to just ask here and get some help. The quality with fraps is really good so I know it cant be my setup making it bad.

As you can see its almost as if OBS is trying to enhance every spec of white in the image.

These are my OBS settings:

log looks fine and so does the image

you could actually just put bitrate 1000 it doesnt really matter when it comes to local recording as long as you have the buffer set to 0 the encoder takes whatever bitrate is needed to achieve the "quality goal" ~ crf=18 quality14

all you could do is set the crf even lower but this would put more strain on the encoder

Ahhh never mind I found the solution, in my video card settings I had the edge enhancement in video playback pretty high for some reason
