Hello everyone;

Currently I bought new pc parts;
i7-6700k
32 GB Corsair Vengeance LPX 3000 Mhz
Asus Strix GTX 970 4 GB

My upload speed is 8 mbit (Checked with teamliquid BW test, I'm able to upload Amsterdam about 8mbit) I'm using 2000-3000 bitrate

I tried
1280x720 @60 fps - medium preset = quality bad
1280x720 @30 fps - medium preset = quality bad
1920x1080 @30 fps - medium preset = quality bad

I remember I was streaming with better quality past years with my old setup (amd 1055t and i5-2500k)

I'm thinking of switching to Windows 7 maybe Windows 10 causing this?.

Example 1920x1080 @45 Fps - Slow preset - 2500 bitrate = https://www.twitch.tv/doraider/v/61440243

Example 1280x720 @60 Fps - Medium preset - 2000 bitrate = https://www.twitch.tv/doraider/v/61047171

You probably want as close to 3500kb you can get for 1080p 60 fps. However, if you stream PC games w/ OBS then you will have trouble. It takes a hell of a lot of CPU resources to encode at those settings.

1080@60 will look terrible at 3500. That starts around 5mbps, and really wants 6+.

720p@30fps, 2000kbps is the 'golden point' for non-partnered streams. Past that we'd need to see a logfile. Most often 'bad quality' comes from following know-nothing parroted YouTube 'best settings' videos from people who don't know what the hell they're talking about.

@FerretBomb I have a worse setup than Doraider w/ 3000kbps, 1280x720 @60 -- veryfast preset. And im getting quite good quality on my stream, then again im using an external capture card for console. But im a inexperienced streamer i don't know too much. . But my setup works fine for my use.

Doraider will probably get his settings right with your help Ferret :)
