Question / Help Bad Quality w/ OBS & My Elgato

So today I got a new webcam so I decided the best way for me to record my videos from now on was through OBS entirely rather than my PC games with OBS and my console videos using the Elgato given software. I watched a few tutorials on how to record my Xbox One using my Elgato and OBS and OBS sees it. In preview my webcam and xbox screen looks great (HD) but when I play back the recording it looks 360pi at best. I don't really know whats up with that but others in tutorials seem to record fine. And when I recorded with the Elgato it was HD so i dont see why OBS won't.
Could it still be my PC even though the footage was recorded in full HD through the elgato software?

You are using OBS classic which is deprecated and unsupported. Update to OBS studio from https://obsproject.com/download

So if i update it should fix the problem or is this only because its unsupported?

I have horrible quality in OBS. I don't stream or record and the quality is still terrible. I know its not a problem on my end because it was fine until about a month ago and i still havent found a fix. I am tired of this and if nobody here can get it fixed I am going to xsplit
