Question / Help Bad quality recording even though lossless recording

I have a AVerMedia GC573 recording my desktop using "display capture". I set my recordings to lossless but when I play them back using VLC or Windows Media Player they look terrible despite their extremely large file size and the text is very soft. I play them back in full screen. Strangely Windows media player looks better in fullscreen than VLC which is leading me to believe it's the player and not OBS or my recording settings. What video player can I use to see my recordings as they were recorded?

PC specs,
7700K 5Ghz
16GB
GTX 1080ti
Windows 10
AVerMedia GC573

The problem seems to be when using RGB in the video settings. When I switch to NV12 or I444 it's perfect. With RGB the text on the very left portion of my desktop is very clear and crisp but gets more and more blurry towards the right side. Why?

Why does it do that in RGB? All the settings are the same. It's almost like it's trying to scale but I'm using the same resolution as recording resolution and it works no problems with the other color formats. I'd like to use RGB to get 4:4:4.
