Question / Help Bad Lag with recording, even with good computer.

I'm trying to record CSGO at 60 fps but the lag and stutter is really bad. I'm pretty sure my computer can handle the load of recording and gaming at the same time as I have done it before, before upgrading to a 144 Hz monitor that caused this stutter.

Specs:
i7 4790k at 4.6 GHz
Nvidia GTX 980ti
16Gb DDR3 Ram
144hz Monitor

Running a game without vertical sync or a frame rate limiter will frequently cause performance issues with OBS because your GPU will be maxed out. Enable vsync or set a reasonable frame rate limit that your GPU can handle without hitting 100% usage. If that's not enough you may also need to turn down some of the video quality options in the game.
