Bad Audio Quality in OBS

Not sure what it is but recently bought a new headset(Razer Kraken) and now my recording audio sounds very flat and off. Any ideas on what the problem is? I'm stumped after messing around in the sound control panel for a solid half hour.

Change the headset itself to stereo mode or just turn it on in audio settings? Because I have it enabled and set as default in my sound settings

I don't think I'm entirely understanding what you're asking me to do. I don't see anything where I can change that in the headsets properties. Sorry to sound like an idiot but could you walk me through what I need to do real quick?
