Question / Help Backup stream to YouTube best automated method using OBS?

Hi, I'm running a 24/7 stream on my main pc at home and it's decent but my last stream ended after 57 hours only because the connection on my pc just stopped for some reason not the internet. Now I know about a VPS and I've seen someone use one on YouTube and their stream went for months without ending. The only reason it ended was a copyright strike. I don't really have the money right now to mess with a VPS but it seems to be the most stable/reliable way of doing this? I do have 2 other locations that have internet and an old computer that I could use as a backup if it disconnects at home. My question is how do I do this? If my internet or pc goes out and the stream stops, I have about a minute to resume it (a feature from YouTube). How can I set up the second location to start streaming when it ends at my house? Is this possible? I'm guessing the stream has to be running at the second location 24/7 as well and then go live when the 1st location (my house) goes offline?

Thanks.

Ok the second location (VPS), use the same stream key as you did ok your PC, but on the second location put it as back up ingest.

that way the main stream is coming from your home, and if your home .. crashes the back up should help.

So what are you streaming? Youtube seems forgiving about copyright issues because they just monetize the stream and put commercials in it. They do seem to not like a video that is blocked like disney. Anyway, I'm streaming 24/7 and always wonder what other people are doing to get enough material for 27/4 without repeating themselves. I've found that I can shut off the stream for a few hours without youtube closing it. Sometimes I shut if off to upload a video to youtube. It interferes with my stream, takes the whole bandwidth. I did find a way to throttle youtube upload but it just means it takes a lot longer to upload at a reduced upload rate. I have a laptop on which I run the 24/7 station (Youtube: "DCCATV") and have turned off streaming on my laptop and switched on streaming on my desktop. Absolutely no problem. So what do you stream?
