Background recording window gets blank

Hello all! Newbie here, need some help.

I would like to have an app that allows me to record a navigator (Chrome) video background window w/o interfering in my daily usage.

But everytime I try to record something, I get blank screens now and then during recording and sometimes it´s tricky to change windows while recording, because it also interrupts the actual background video (even if I didn´t touch the actual recording window).

Looks like I am missing some basic knowledge of how it works. Do you recommend any good tutorial?

Thank you in advance!

This isn't anything OBS can change. Modern browsers stop rendering their window for power saving reasons if they detect that window isn't visible on the desktop. So if you want to record that window, make sure at least a part of it is visible. Minimized windows probably stop rendering immediately, and windows just in background might continue rendering, but that might change if some other maximized window in foreground completely obscure it.

Thx for the feedback. I ran some tests based on what you said and it works exactly like that.
But that´s terribly limitating, because I have tons of video classes to record and I can´t leave the video window at foreground all the time!
Do you know any other app that is capable of recording background (not minimized) windows without such hassle?

Thank you again!
