Greetings.
How I do it: (See attached:
)
I'm using REcentral to play PS4 with on my computer monitor (144hz), where I from OBS simply capture a region of my screen (the window of REcentral) + show webcam and layout design. I do not use REcentral as a source.
My issue is as follows: (See attached:
- random video flicker)
I want to record my console gameplay through my capture device, Avermedia Extremecap U3, by Avermedia REcentral, when I'm livestreaming with OBS studio, for later video editing in higher mbps. However, when I use OBS studio (I have also tried OBS classic) in combination with REcentral, the gameplay video starts to randomly flicker. The flickering ends up in the recording of REcentral, and the recording of OBS studio.
I have noticed this: Somehow OBS interferes with REcentral and casues these random flickers that end up in the recordings of REcentral and OBS studio, while bothering my streaming quality, and makes me unable to produce flawless videos.
The outcome has been random, meaning that sometimes the flickering would only occur when pressing record in OBS (to record in high mbps) after starting a recording in REcentral.
What I know (for the most part): I can perfectly record in REcentral alone without any issue (no flickering). I can actually also record in REcentral while having OBS opened, but with my screen capture turned off, and there will still not happen any flickering. It starts to happen as soon as I want to livestream/recording it
What I have tried:
I have gone through older as well as newer versions of USB drivers, since Extremecap U3 runs on USB 3.0.
I have downloaded the latest versions of OBS.
I have updated my BIOS to the latest version and found the most stable one.
I have updated Avermedia drivers, and Avermedia REcentral
I have tried changing settings for what encodings to use in OBS, but I couldn't see any changes.
My specs:
PC SYSTEM:
1x SSD: 250gb (System)
1x Western Digital: 1 TB (Storage)
1x Western Digital: 6 TB (Storage)
Intel Core I7-5930K (Hexa core with hyperthread)
Nvidia Geforce 970 GTX
Corsair Dominator DDR4 2666MHz 16GB (4x4)
Corsair AX 1200i, 1200W PSU
ASUS SABERTOOTH X99 (With 8 slots for RAM)
Please, help me figure out why OBS casues my REcentral to flicker in the video, and thereby ruins both livestream and recorded footage.
