Question / Help AverMedia not recording

It keeps doing this, and sometimes it works while others it doesn't. Atm when ever I try to start recording, it shows as it's going by beeping red in my tool bar. But when I try to stop it, it won't work. As well as when I right click on it to stop it [since the hotkey would not work] it would say "Start" it wouldn't show that I could stop it. I don't really even know how to explain this, if this really is too confusing I can try recording to show it [but I would like not to].

you cannot run the avermedia software while OBS is using it as a source.

Dping is saying that you can not use the live gamer in both programs at the same time. Are you using OBS and the other program along side each other? Wondering why this is OBS related ATM. :P

No I'm not, I have only avermedia running. and I saw someone make a thread on here related to avermedia, and thought it would also be ok for me to post something here. I can't for the life of me get it to work [even though it worked a bit ago with nothing changing]

This forum is for use with OBS and supporting OBS. I would find avermedia forums or guides on youtube.

Use OBS and close down AverMedia, or use AverMedia software and not OBS. Both may not work together.
AverMedia drivers seem to only be able to use one at a time: OBS, or AverMedia Software, or something else.

Check if another program might be using it. Maybe restart computer?
