Hello.
I have a LGP lite (same thing as the normal LGP, but without he sd card slot). I have install the drivers and the recentral, but when I go into the Preview window there just is a black screen. Same thing with obs, just red screen. I try to record my ps4 (I have not hdcp on)
Hipe you guys can help!

You need to install the AVerMedia Stream Engine software and add that as a video capture device source in the 32-bit version of OBS.

After re-reading your original post it appears that even RECentral won't show the LGP's output, correct? If it isn't working with AVerMedia's own software then it probably won't work with OBS either, you should contact them to get that taken care of first.

I know this thread Is getting a little old but... I had issues with my LGP giving a black screen and after 24 hours I managed to fix it... while searching the web finding no help I came across this thread a few times so desided to post a link to a helpful video... It fixed my black screen issue... I thought I would post it here as It may help others to solve their problem :)

I just wanted to add to this post since I personally spent a few hours trying to figure out the same sort of issue. The "fix" which was offered above doesn't quite solve the issue but it did lead to me figuring out a fix.

I can't really site where the issue really arises but there is something going on between the PS4 and LGP when it comes to selecting the resolution. I believe instead of getting the resolution directly from the TV it is some how trying to get it from the LGP instead.

My TV can only recognize 1080i and 720p while the capture card of course can recognize up to 1080p. That is just my theory.

So on to the fix. After plugging out the hdmi out input on the LGP, the video and the audio should show up on Rec Central, at least that is what happened for me.(that was the initial "fix" above) I then go to the PS4 video output settings and change them from automatic to 720p. Once that is done I reconnect the out input back to LGP and wallah!!

It is annoying that it has to be done this way but at least it is now functional.

EDIT: So I am at my wits end with this. It's day two for me and it looks like my fix is not working any longer. I did the same method as before only this time it doesn't seem to be taking and it also blacks out the rec central screen as well. I will test this out on another screen tomorrow to see what the LGP does but I know its some sort of issue with the LGP. Unfortunately, I'll have to wait to hear back from the avermedia support to see if they have some sort of patch that will solve this aggravating issue.

EDIT: Okay so I think I now have the concrete settings in order for my screen to operate properly. It would seem that the RGB range also has to be changed to limited in order for this fix to work as well. I honestly didn't think this had an effect..ugh. Anyway leaving a screen share of my settings. I hope this helps anyone who runs into the same issue that I had.
