Question / Help Avermedia Live Gamer HD & Playstation 2

Has anyone managed to get a Playstation 2 to connect to their Avermedia Live Gamer HD ? Because it only has HDMI on the card I purchased a number of RWY-to-HDMI converters, however none of them seem to work when trying to stream/record (probably worth mentioning the sound comes through but not the video, and it works when I plug it straight into the TV). I did used to have a Hauppage HD PVR2 and wish I had kept it however that doesn't help with streaming.
I try setting my resolution in REC Central and changing a number of settings but I can only get sound coming through.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

What Composite->HDMI converters have you tried? ("RWY" is called Composite)

Is the image just black?

You might want to look into getting a capture card that can capture composite video, too, if the problem is with the Composite->HDMI adapter.

Yeah the Live Gamer HD is not a good card for recording/streaming anything other than xbox360/xbone/PS3/PS4

You want to look into something that is better catered towards retro consoles. Elgato game capture HD or something similar.

f it's only composite you want to capture, I'd recommend the AVerMedia C038 rather than the Elgato. The Elgato will give you input lag on the stream, and you need to buy a separate add-on to capture composite.
