Question / Help AVerMedia Live Gamer HD C985 settings

Hello:

I've been told this program is very friendly for the Live Gamer HD C985. I am very new to this card (just got it Saturday!) and was wondering if anyone could just provide some general guidance on the best settings on the card (via RecCentral??) to work with OBS.

Also, any special settings in OBS that need tweaking?

Thanks in advance!

The only thing you need to do is make sure the base resolution and FPS in video settings match that of the capture card when you add it as a source. Also, if you plan on having multiple scenes that you want to switch between, set it up as a global source. Other than that you shouldn't need to do anything special otherwise.

Thanks for the reply, and for OBS! You need a donate button on the website!

Just to be clear, the settings in "Recentral" under capture do not affect OBS as those are just for recentrals capture right? (Capture->Pro) Im specifically refering to the Bitrate, resolution, and FPS settings there.

Thanks again,

Ryne

Ah, no. The settings there shouldn't affect anything in my app. I think that's more for when you're using REcentral to do any capturing/streaming.

So what your saying is that if my gaming pc has a base resolution of 1080p I need to set my AM-LGHD cards custom resolution to 1920x1080 as well? What should I set the FPS at then? My gaming pc is higher end and rarely drops bellow 60 FPS. Will there be some sort of a conflict if I set the AM-LGHD card to 30 FPS but I am gaming in CSGO at something like 300 FPS? I am really looking to optimize my AM-LGHD for obs.

Thanks for your time Jim!
