Hi Folks, Wondering if anyone can shed any light on my situation. I have the avermedia lite game capture device and i want to run it in OBS with my ps4.

I have windows 10 and for some reason obs wont detect the device. Does anyone have any ideas why this is?
I am using obs 64 bit form what i have read will i have to use the 32 bit ? also how would i go about getting the 32 bit if i have the 64 bit.

sorry kind of new to this stuff.
many thanks

If you mean the Live Gamer Portable lite then let me start by saying I'm sorry you too have to endure the shit that the device is. I have one and while it can record stuff from a hdmi source reasonably well using the provided recentral software its compatibility with third party software like OBS is ridiculously bad. There is no native support for the device in the old version of OBS nor will there be, instead you must use the "stream engine" Avermedia hacked together. This isn't OBS' fault however but some unique reason as to how the device works. The stream engine might work for you sometimes or it might not.
I worked a bit with the developers in an effort to get native support for OBS-MP but to my latest knowledge it is still a work in progress.
To be honest, I'd recommend getting a Live gamer extreme (GC550) or an Extremecap U3 from Avermedia, either one, to my best knowledge, will work natively.
Otherwise, try your luck with the stream engine available on the Avermedia website. You should get a new video capture device source named "LGP Lite Stream engine" and choosing that will then enable you to capture your gameplay.
PS. I never tried whether or not any of this will work on windows 10. I have managed to use it on windows 8 however so chances are it will work just as well which, again, isn't saying much.

Download the Stream Engine as above and you do need to be using 32 bit OBS. It will be installed at C:\Program Files (x86)\OBS by default. It gets installed at the same time as the 64 bit.
