Question / Help Avermedia LG Strange Issues

I've been having the strangest issues with this CC since I got it.

First off, I'm using the CC to capture xbox one gameplay. Once PC for streaming.


Every time I turn on my xbox, I can ONLY see my xbox screen on my OBS preview, not my monitor. I then have to go into my display settings on my xbox, switch it to 720, hit yes. I then can now see it on both my monitor and OBS preview. I then switch it back to 1080, and now I can see it on both.

Why? What in the world is happening with this capture card? I know this might be better off posted on the Avermedia forums, but maybe you guys have had similar experiences.

Some capture card's passthrough to some HDMI displays may have problems, maybe try different monitor, or use HDMI splitter instead of passthrough.

Since OBS can always capture a picture just fine, this might not be an OBS problem. Could try capture card driver update. Maybe search the internet for: avermedia live gamer passthrough problem

Both of my monitors have the same problem. As far as the splitter goes, I would run an HDMI cable from my monitor and then split it into the two Avermedia ports?

game console's HDMI output goes to splitter input. One splitter output then goes to capture card's input, and the other splitter output goes to monitor. Capture card should still capture fine with only an input, without using capture card's output.
