Hey guys, so I'm using an AVerMedia ExtremeCap U3 external capture device with OBS and my X1/360/PS4.

Here's how I'm set up:

Stream/Capture PC (i7 3930, 16GB RAM, AMD HD7970, Windows 7-64)
AVerMedia ExtremeCap U3 which outputs to a ViewHD VHD-1X2MN3D HDMI splitter with my X1/PS4/360.

The consoles are all fine in 720p. I can even run the 360 at 1080i, but as soon as I set any of them to 1080p I get a black screen.

I can still hear audio but I have no picture at all. I also have very crackly audio on the Microsoft consoles.

I've searched high and low but it doesn't seem like too many people have any experience with this device and AVerMedia's support is practically non-existent.

Any tips or help with this would be GREATLY appreciated.

Nevermind. Got it sorted. For anyone who experiences this again here's what you do.

1. When you install the software, make sure your antivirus is closed. The USB Diagnosis Tool that comes with the RECentral software and Driver will not work with a virus protection program running.

2. Once you install the device, driver and software, run the Diagnosis tool and make sure all resolutions are supported. If they aren't, you'll need to get a UBS 3.0 card and install it. They're usually 17-30 bucks.

That should solve the issues.
