Question / Help AverMedia Extremecap U3 - Audio Input

A few weeks back, I got the above item for my 2 PC setup. I am curious if I am doing something wrong or it is a known issue.

Each time I launch OBS, I have to go to the Extremecap U3' configure option [within OBS] and select the Component input [as this is what I am using for the audio from the gaming pc] as it defaults to the digital. It simply will not remember the change.

thanks for the support.

Following up with support on this, curious if this is a known issue and if there is a work around?
I've seen this happen, if you set the option outside of OBS without OBS open it should save but going through OBS, not so much.

Also, since I was helping you on the other thread next time just ask the question on that thread as well, no reason to start a new one with all of them following under "capture card issues" sorta

Ah, okay - sorry - didn't want to confuse one thread with another problem. I think, I understand what you are asking, but the only other way that I can set the audio to component/analog it through the Avermedia software "RECentral" and that I do have setup as I use it for when I do Lets Play.

Or.. .are you asking something else and I don't get what you are asking?

go directly to the rec central software and set the component input. After that close rec central then open OBS and see if it hold the setting by recording or previewing the scene.

Oh I read that wrong, so you do already have it set there. :/ yeah well your ticket will maybe come back with something. but not sure how OBS grabs settings from other capture card's properties, but I just know its separate. maybe try rebuilding the video capture source

That is what i thought you were suggesting and RECentral is setup that way; otherwise my Lets Play would have no audio. [grin]

This is what I did:
Rebooted pc > RECentral checked settings > shutdown RECentral
Launched OBS > checked settings > Audio is set to Line In

Rebooted pc > Launched OBS > checked settings > Audio is set to Digial

So, I can either launch RECentral and 'check' setting and then shut RECentral down and then launch OBS or Launch OBS and change the setting.

Someone else suggested that I use the HDMI and setup the "Listen to this Device", but I am not sure if that would keep the audio channels separate.

If I go back to square one with the dual PC's and not going the route of splitting the audio out on the gaming pc and using the HDMI.

I am at a loss of the suggested connections, do you have any advise for getting this to work?
