Question / Help Avermedia convergence problem

I used avermedia cards in the past both hdmi and they both seem to have the same issue. the image that comes out of the capture software is not a 1:1 passthrough like it should be. it looks like a slight convergence problem like you find on old tube tvs. Not sure if this is an obs issue or an avermedia problem but curious if anyone else has experienced this.

I cant take pics of the problem atm but i might be able to in a little while and if so will update the post

Without seeing an image, this is probably the result of 4:2:0 chroma subsampling. If so, there isn't much you can do about that.
