Question / Help Avermedia Cap Card Question

OK so, I have an Avermedia Live Gamer HD. Unfortunately I can only stream at 540p now, so I have a question on using it.

When I set OBS to downscale to 540p do I also need to go into the avermedia properties and set custom resolution to 540p as well, or do I leave the capture at 1080 since it is downscaling?

if your stream is set to down scale to 540p, you dont need to change the source to 540, obs will do it for you

Yea the downscale just resizes the input for you. Also if you tried to use 540p as your custom resolution you would probably get a strange picture, no picture or no signal. The custom resolution has to be set to your exact input resolution, so for a console it could be 1280x720 or 1920x1080.
