Question / Help Avermedia c985 pass-through not working in OBS

I'm trying to stream console footage with a c985 and OBS since RECentral doesn't allow for stream overlays.

The card accepts the video signal from the input and appropriately displays it in OBS, however it doesn't pass a signal through to my monitor via HDMI.

Is this a known issue with the c985 and OBS or is my card faulty? My initial thoughts are drifting towards the latter, but I'm asking here to make sure.

does it say out of range or just a black screen? I use the Game Broadcaster HD from avermedia and haven't really had many problems at all.

Your title makes it sound like OBS isn't working, but the above quote makes it sound like OBS is working fine. Rather, the issue is with the card, not OBS. Does passthrough work when OBS is not running? Passthrough should work independently of whether or not the card is capturing or not.

I am having this exact same problem currently. Bump for information? I can record the content through OBS but it won't show up on my screen.

Thanks

Dont necro old threads.
the "problem" OP had was not OBS related and was probably a hardware issue.
