I just bought one of these and I'm having some major trouble setting it up. Alright, so let me break it down so no one gets confused.

I plugged the HDMI Cord in & the power cord as well and installed all of the drivers. I'm trying to use OBS to stream but when I try to stream, it records the display of the AverMedia, which is like an empty screen with just my desktop background. I try cloning my monitor and the AverMedia Display together, but when I go in-game it changes the screen's refresh rate to 60hz when I have 120hz monitor. & It doesn't even show my game on the display either, it still shows the desktop.
tl;dr
Is there a way to make it 120hz & show the game at the same time?

Here are some Screenshots

Any help is appreciated! thanks boys!

It's probably because the device doesn't support 120hz.

Anyway, please do not bump your posts after a mere 30 minutes. Patience.

You probably have to go into your video card drivers and make sure that the oupput going to the LGP is 60hz and the output going to the monitor is 120hz. It's possible that if you don't make it explicit, it defaults to the lowest common denominator, and I don't think the LGP supports 120hz.

Are you using this in a single-PC setup or a 2-pc setup?

i have the same problem, and its really weird for me to play on 60hz.

i have an ATI gfx Card.

when i try to clone display, i cannot have 120hz (as the lgp is blocking to 60hz)

when i expand monitor, i cannot stream my games, it only show my desktop without icons on twitch.

thanks to give us an advice.

I am having this same issue but with the AVerMedia C985 Capture Card...

I've had it for about a year - while using A gtx 680 I have had NO PROBLEM streaming (720p 60fps) and playing @ 120hz

Now that i've upgraded to a gtx 780 no longer can i play at 120hz, instead 60hz while streaming.

Possibly due to a weird reinstall of the nvidia drivers, who knows, i will be troubleshooting a bunch to see if i can fix this.
