AV1 or HEVC recordings have no video.

Hi. relatively new to using OBS, I'm interested in using AV1 encoding on my 4070ti. I went to record some stuff and found that my recordings are able to track audio, but no actual video will be recorded so it is just a blank screen. I have made sure to check the preview in OBS while recording, and i could confirm it was showing the gameplay along with showing that it was recording at the time. But once i end the recording, it will then save the file and upon playback there is no gameplay footage whatsoever. I'm sure i'm just doing something wrong but i haven't found anything helpful in my efforts and was wondering if anyone could help.

Note - This also happens with HEVC, only H264 works.

sounds like your player is crap? Do you use windows media player how this default thing from windows is called nowadays?
