I play a lot of survival games that involve a lot of resource gathering (read: boring to watch) that gets edited out. However, I'm always recording because the chances of something noteworthy happening (finding a secret, funny conversation with other players, etc) are good. I tend to start recording and get into a game for 5 or 6 hours and not realize it, then have a massive file to deal with which is problematic on several fronts. First, I use HitFilm as my editor and it sometimes chokes on massive files. But mainly I want to set my videos to sync to my OneDrive which has a 10gb file size limit.
Is there any way to set OBS to record in, say, 15 or 20 min segments? I know I can chop them up (which I've had to do) with FFDShow, but I'd rather not spend the time.
