Question / Help Audiotrack Encoding Problem

Hello,

I'm trying to get Movie Studio Platinum 12 and OBS Multiplatform to work.
I've tried to get multiple Audio Tracks to work, but as it looks like MS Platinum 12 doesnt support this. It is also not neccessary for me to have, just would have been cool.

However: Now I want to record with OBS Multiplatform using only one Audio track.

Those are the encoder settings I've used. When opening the file with VLC Player, it is playing my sound, when putting the file into Movie Studio, it is not showing up a single Audio line.

I also tried to use an online mp4 converter and it worked. The converted file now shows up as an audio line in Movie Studio.

Is this something on my end (movie studio) or are there any hidden settings in OBS which allow me to use one Audio Track in Movie Studio Platinum 12?

Thank you very much, all help is appreciated
Best regards

You could try installing a codec pack like K-Lite. Be careful, some coded packs come bundled with crapware.

I can confirm that Sony Movie Studio 12 (which is part of the Platinum Suite) works without any issue on the mp4 files OBS MP creates. Even when recording to multiple audio tracks.

Example:
Stream 1 = Mic+Game+Chat+PC Audio
Stream 2 = Mic
Stream 3 = Game
Stream 4 = Chat

Stream 1 goes to Hitbox/Twitch
Stream 1 -> 4 goes to the recording

I can then perfectly import that file in Movie Studio and manipulate every audio track seperately.

Only caveat: I can't be using CRF=0 (lossless h264 encoding). I need to use CRF=1 at the least or it won't import the file. It's a shame, but I'll live :p.
