good day
I am new to this platform ,I am using windows 10 operating system, my current challenge that I have is how to get audio onto my broadcast using external microphones. I am broadcasting to you tube. I don't want to windows on board /desktop mic. Any advice on how to rectify this?
 
OBS supports Audio Inputs from a variety of sources, including external microphones.
Now, how to connect an external microphone to a computer depends on the microphone, and what else you may want to use. For example, is it an XLR mic going into a sound system/mixer? Or just a simple USB mic?
You can connect using analog or digital connection, either can work, though details will vary depending on microphone and computer. My recommendation would be to make sure you get the microphone working in Windows first, then configure OBS to use that audio source
