Question / Help Audio & Video Won't Sync

Hi, I am new to OBS, using it to do Facebook Live streaming with a Canon 7Dmii. It is connected through a Blackmagic Mini Recorder. It goes: Canon 7Dii HDMI-->BM Recorder-->Thunderbolt-->Macbook Pro running OBS. I have gotten everything to work accept the audio and video will not sync together. Settings:

Video Capture: 640x480 Standard IPB
FPS: 29.97 fps
Stream Bitrate: 1800
Audio Bitrate: 72

Here is what I am experiencing: When I use my MacBook audio mic, the audio is faster than the video. If I use the audio from the camera via BlackMagic Mini Recorder, the video is ahead of the audio. I feel like this is a simple fix, but changing bitrates and resolution haven't helped...

I'd also like this question answered. I can't get audio to even come through using xbox one--> BM minirecorder --> thunderbolt --> imac

Hi @Becca Scott Kerns, I may be able to help you with that. Do you have the BlackMagic device selected for your audio capture in Audio settings?

@Becca Scott Kerns, I was playing around with a new mic option today and discovered the problem I was having. On my macbook, the BlackMagic device was not selected for audio input, so the volume I was getting was from the default computer mic (even though it was not enabled in the OBS audio settings). So, on your iMac, go to System Prefs-->Sound-->Input and make sure your BM device is selected for the input. That fixed my lag issue 100%. Good luck
