Hi, I recently went through my local recordings of past streams and found that about a month ago all my videos are out of sync. The audio (desktop and mic) is slightly ahead of the video but the issue is not present on live stream or the vods on twitch. This wasn't an issue before but I can't think of anything differently I did except raise the bitrate and change the encoder?

Why in the world are you recording to .mov?

Can you replicate this every time? If so, please change the format to mkv and make another test to see if it's still present.

Try basing all your audio sample rates to 48hz.

- In OBS Studio, change the Audio Sample Rate to 48hz
- In Windows, for each audio device, set the driver properties to DVD quality 48hz.

Please post a link to a clean log file. To make a clean log file, first restart OBS, then start your stream/recording for ~30 seconds and stop it again. Make sure you replicate any issues as best you can, which means having any games/apps open and captured, etc. When you're done select Help > Log Files > Upload Current Log File. Copy the URL and paste it here.

I have been having the same issue, though I haven't been trying to record game play. We are pulling a video feed in from a Sony HD Handicam. Has anyone discovered why there is a lag on the video compared to the audio?

Jenny, if it's the video that is lagging behind the audio, try going to the mixer gear > Advanced audio properties. There you will have an audio delay option. I used a 500 ms delay and it synced our output video with our audio perfectly. You might need to adjust your delay to get the sync but it's a good place to start.

Hmm... I may have fixed it. The problem occurred when I streamed while recording multiple audio tracks on mov. It did not occur when I just recorded. I tried recording with mkv instead, and it fixed the problem! Hopefully this works for you, too. I'm also hoping that's the solution to the problem...

Any updates on this? I also have this problem using a Black Magic USMR and several NDI sources. Stream and local monitoring is in sync. local recording has the audio out of sync. OBS 23.1.0 64bit
