Question / Help audio trouble

while broadcasting on twitch through xbox1 my turtle beaches do not pick up my voice only my laptop will (at a very low volume) ive unplugged my mic to use the kinect and it will stream my party chat members but not myself. im using obs through windows and using an elgato capture card any help is appreciated.

Under normal xbox to tv setup the TV does not echo your voice back to you. What the TV outputs is what the capture cards will capture. what would normally come out of your TV. So by design, your headset mic would not be recorded to OBS.

From what I've seen, a lot of setups include a second mic for this purpose only.

Ahhh, I'm dumb.. I believe there's an OBS plugin to be able to add additional audio sources so you should be able to add your headset in there
